Athletics at Saint Mark's

We offer our students a comprehensive competitive sports program that helps them build strong bodies, sharpen coordination and learn the value of teamwork and sportsmanship. With our outstanding athletic facilities, we are able to field almost 50 teams. Our students compete on the freshman, junior varsity and varsity levels. Students can also participate in crew and ice hockey clubs and in intramurals. Over the years, the Spartans have earned more than eighty State athletic championships, including: football; baseball; wrestling; boys' and girls' soccer; boys' and girls' cross country; boys' and girls' basketball; girls' track; softball; girls' swimming; and girls' volleyball.

About Spartan Sportsmanship...
"I want to take just a few minutes of your time to express what a true pleasure it has been to umpire both the varsity and junior varsity field hockey teams from St. Mark's High School. On September 8th and September 27th I officiated both teams and was elated with the sportsmanship in which all athletes and coaches conducted themselves. Bill [Eichinger] and his coaching staff should be commended for their athletes' behavior on and off the field. If we could use St. Mark's field hockey team as the example for all teams to follow we would be ahead of the game in the way student-athletes grow and develop as productive citizens in our society."
