Elementary Science Olympiad
The Elementary Science Olympiad is designed to stimulate enthusiasm for science and mathematics through competitions in skills and knowledge. Students meet for a program of competitive events in an academic setting. This year we have scheduled two Olympiads -- one for Catholic & independent [nonpublic] schools and one for public schools.

8:15 a.m. Registration * 1:45 p.m. Awards
Open to Grades 4, 5 and 6
Each school may send one team of eight (8) students from each grade. Each team will consist of eight (8) students from the 4th, 5th or 6th grade. The events are planned such that every student can participate in four (4) events, one (1) in each time slot. Each team can only send the number of students listed in parentheses behind the event name (on the event schedule) to each event.
A team is not required to send students to all of the events. Most events that list two (2) students can be completed with only one student. If an event has an asterisk next to the number of students, they you must send the full number of students in order to participate in the event.
Entry fees for teams are waived as a courtesy to our guests by Saint Mark's High School.
Each school will be allowed one team per grade. Each grade will have a scheduled lunch period. Teams may pack a lunch or purchase items in the school cafeteria.
To register your team, send an email to Dale Freund with the school name, grade level, coach name, coach email, mailing address, contact phone, and grades participating in the Science Bowl.

Open to Grades 4, 5, 6 and 7
Each team will consist of eight (8) students from each level -- grade 4, grade 5 and grades 6/7 (combined). The events are planned such that every student can participate in four (4) events, one (1) in each time slot. Each school will be allowed two (2) teams per grade.
Entry fees for teams are waived as a courtesy to our guests by Saint Mark's High School.

Teams may pack a lunch and have access to the school cafeteria. Our Crew Team students and parents will have lunch and snack items for sale.
Please confirm your team registration by sending an e-mail to Dale Freund with the school name, grade level(s) (4, 5, and 6/7), coach name, coach e-mail address and contact phone number. The registration deadline is February 12, 2010.
