Class of 2023 - Next Steps

Please find below a checklist for preparing for Fall 2019!

Students who have chosen to attend Saint Mark's should sign the enrollment agreement by logging into your MySMHS account and depositing $1,000 by March 1st.

Please note, to log into MySMHS you will go to www.stmarkshs.net and click "MySMHS" in the top right corner. You will use the same login information that you used to complete your child's application. Upon logging in, you will see highlighted in yellow "(1) Contract to Complete." Click it and complete the contract; at the end, it will require a $1,000 deposit in order to submit the contract. If you have any trouble, please contact the Office of Admissions at admissions@stmarkshs.net or 302-757-8721.

Registration To-Do List
Once you have signed the enrollment agreement and made your deposit, below will be your next steps:
 
I. Sign into/sign up for FACTS Management to select your payment schedule by clicking here.  
Please note, if your child received any type of financial award (financial aid, scholarship, or grant) this award will not be reflected in your payment schedule until June. If you have any questions regarding payment plans or your monthly payment, please contact Ray Barto in the financial office at rbarto@stmarkshs.net.

II. EMMAUS Applicants

If your child is an EMMAUS Applicant, upon signing the enrollment agreement and setting up your FACTS Management account, please contact Diane Kuczmarski, Director of EMMAUS, to formally apply for the EMMAUS program. She can be reached at dkuczmarski@stmarkshs.net.
 
III. Complete your registration packet via MySMHS
For deposited families, registration is NOW available! 
Please log into your parent account for MySMHS, the same account where you submitted your contract. Highlighted at the top of the screen in yellow you will see "(1) Form to Complete." Please complete your registration paperwork by March 15th, in order to receive a draft schedule by the end of March.

IV: Transportation
To sign up for Carpool to School and/or to register for busing from Kennett School District, please log into your parent MySMHS account. Then click "Resources" and then "Transportation" to access all of this important information!

Spring and Summer Checklist

For your planning purposes, please review the important dates that are coming up this spring and summer! Once you sign the enrollment agreement, you will receive registration paperwork for all of the below events.
 
Curriculum Level Conferences: Thursday, April 4th, 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.
Students who sign the enrollment contract and send in their registration paperwork by March 15th will receive a draft schedule by the end of March. At that time, if your family would like to discuss the schedule with department chairs, they may attend the Curriculum Level Conference. You do not need to pre-register.
 
Math Placement Exam: Tuesday, May 7th, 2019, 3:15 - 4:30 p.m.
For students who would like to test out of Algebra I and students who have been placed into Geometry. Registration information can be found in the below attachment.
 
 
Spanish Placement Exam: May 6th - May 13th, 2019
The Spanish Placement Exam is for students who are interested in testing out of Spanish I. The exam is offered online for one week. Registration information for the exam is available below.
 
  
Kickoff to Summer: Monday, June 3rd, 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.
For all new families, including students. You will learn about what to expect this summer and how to prepare for the fall.
 
Gently Used Uniform Sale: Wednesday, June 19th, 12:00 - 5:00 p.m.
This is a wonderful opportunity to purchase gently used uniforms. The earlier you arrive, the more inventory you will have available to you!
 
Get Connected Sessions
*Students may register for one or both sessions when they complete their registration paperwork.
This is a fun day where students can get acquainted with our facilities, staff, and their future classmates.

Session I: Arts & Athletics
Thursday, July 25th, 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
 
Session II: Academics & Service
Thursday, August 8th, 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
 
New Parent Welcome: Tuesday, August 20th, 7:00 - 8:00 p.m.
A required event for all new parents, to learn about what to expect for the upcoming school year. Please note, this is a parents-only event.
 
This summer, don't forget to...
 
1. Purchase your iPad
We require an iPad Pro or better, WiFi, and a minimum requirement of 32GB of capacity with iOS 9 or better. A minimum 32GB of capacity is necessary to handle all the apps, notes, and e-textbooks that students will be using. An iPad mini is NOT sufficient. A 3G/4G cellular data plan is NOT needed for school use. We recommend a STURDY protective case or cover for the iPad.

2. Purchase uniforms at RUSH Uniform, 101 Harrison Ave, New Castle, DE 19720

3. Get a Physical
Forms will be available on MySMHS this summer. Once completed you may drop them off or email them to Nurse Katie Zangwill (kzangwill@stmarkshs.net).
 
4. Complete your summer assignments
