Welcome Home, Class of 2024!

Congratulations, you are a Spartan!


Each student in the Class of 2024 is required to complete the following steps:


I. Enrollment Form and Deposit:

  • Click here to log-in to your parent account on mySMHS. Use the same log-in information that you used to complete your child's application. If you forget your username/password or experience difficulty logging in, please contact Mrs. Deb Tokarski at Dtokarski@stmarkshs.net.
  • Upon logging in, click "(1) Contract to Complete" and sign the enrollment agreement.
  • In order to submit the enrollment agreement, the system will prompt you to make your $300 deposit. Make your $300 deposit and officially secure your position in the Class of 2024!


II. Select Electives and Language:

  • Click the "Resource boards" section, which is labeled under the "Content" bar.
  • Visit the "SPARTAN SUMMER, New Families" tile.
  • The elective/language form is located on the right hand side. Please select a primary and secondary elective and a language.


III. Payment Plan:

  • Once you have signed the enrollment agreement and made your deposit, click here to sign-in to your FACTS Management account to select your payment schedule. If you have not yet created a FACTS account, you will need to do so.
  • All awards (i.e., financial aid, scholarships, grants, etc.) will not be reflected in your payment schedule until June 2020.


IV. EMMAUS Program:

  • If your child plans to utilize our EMMAUS program, please contact our Director of EMMAUS, Mrs. Diane Kuczmarski, Dkuczmarski@stmarkshs.net to formally apply for the EMMAUS program.


V. Class of 2024 Contract:

  • Click here to log-in to your parent account on mySMHS. Use the same log-in information that you used to complete your child's application. If you forget your username/password or experience difficulty logging in, please contact Mrs. Deb Tokarski at Dtokarski@stmarkshs.net.
  • Upon logging in, click "(1) Contract to Complete" and sign the Class of 2024 contract.
  • Please note, this form is in addition to the enrollment contract and should be completed after you sign the enrollment contract and make your $300 deposit.


VI. Physical and Immunizations:

  • All health forms are located under the "Health" tile on mySMHS. Physical and immunization information is also located within the "SPARTAN SUMMER, New Families" tile on mySMHS. We will review how to access this at the "Kick Off to Summer" event.
  • All students are required to receive up-to-date immunizations prior to the start of the 2020-2021 school year. If a student fails to complete their immunizations, Saint Mark's cannot enroll the student.

    All students must receive the following up-to-date immunizations:
    • DTAP (6 doses)
    • IPV or OPV (4 doses)
    • HEPB (3 doses)
    • MMR (2 doses)
    • VAR (2 doses) or documentation of having been diagnosed with chicken pox.
    • MENINGOCOCCAL (At least 1 dose)
    • Tdap (1 booster shot)
     
    All immunization records and physical forms may be scanned/emailed to the attention of Nurse Katie Zangwill at kzangwill@stmarkshs.net.

    If you have any questions about the immunization requirements, please contact Mrs. Zangwill.


VII. iPad Requirement:

  • Our 1:1 iPad program is in its sixth year. The following descriptions include the recommended minimum:

    • iPad - 7th generation, 10.2”, Wi-Fi and 128GB
    • iPad Air 3 - 10.5”, Wi-Fi, 256GB
    • iPad Pro - 11”, Wi-Fi, 128GB
    • iPad Mini – 7.9”, Wi-Fi, 256GB

    We require a sturdy protective case or cover for the iPad. Most students choose a case that incorporates a keyboard. The school’s intention is that one iPad will last the students for four years; therefore, a refurbished iPad is not recommended. These can be purchased from Amazon, Apple, BestBuy, etc.

VIII. Uniforms:

  • Purchase your uniform at RUSH Uniform, 101 Harrison Avenue, New Castle, DE 19720. Uniform requirements are listed within the "SPARTAN SUMMER, New Families" tile on mySMHS.


IX. Complete Summer Assignments:

  • Please complete all summer assignments. Summer assignments will be available in June through the "SPARTAN SUMMER, New Families" tile on mySMHS. We will review how to access this at the "Kick Off to Summer" event.

      We are honored to welcome the Saint Mark's Class of 2024; the largest class in recent history!

IMPORTANT DATES:

  • Kickoff to Summer EventTBD
    • For all new families, including students. You will learn about what to expect this summer and how to prepare for the fall.

  • Gently Used Uniform Sale: TBD
    • This is a wonderful opportunity to purchase gently used uniforms. The earlier you arrive, the more inventory you will have available to you!

  • Get Connected Sessions:
    • Students may register for one or both sessions when they complete their registration paperwork. Transfers are not required to attend, but are strongly encouraged to do so. This is a fun day where students get acquainted with our facilities, staff and their future classmates. 
    • Session I: Arts & Athletics - Thursday, 7/30, 10:00 a.m.
    • Session II: Academics & Service - Wednesday, 8/12, 10:00 a.m.

  • New Parent Welcome: Tuesday, 8/18, 7:00 - 8:00 p.m.
    • A required event for all new parents to learn what to expect for the upcoming school year. Please note, this is a parent-only event.

  • First Week of School:
    • Monday, 8/24 – All freshmen report. (1:52 p.m. dismissal).
    • Tuesday, 8/25 – Freshmen and sophomores report.
    • Wednesday, 8/26 - All grades report.
