Throughout the regular season, the 1985 Baseball Team produced consistently with hitting, pitching, and fielding resulting in a 14-3 record. With vibrant enthusiasm and camaraderie, the team prepared for the state tournament. One by one, Saint Mark’s defeated Delmar (11-4), Lake Forest (1-0), and Sussex Central (12-1). The final game was one to remember as Saint Mark’s faced Seaford. In a 7-1 victory, the team captured the first baseball state title in school history. Congratulations to the 1985 Baseball Team on its moment to shine yet again at the upcoming induction into the Saint Mark’s Athletic Hall of Fame.
