Class of 2021 - Summer Check List

Please find below a check list for this summer. Please feel free to contact the Office of Admissions with any questions.

  • Sign the enrollment agreement by logging into your MySMHS account and deposit $1000
*This is the account you used to complete an application. Upon logging in you will find the contract highlighted in yellow at the top of the screen.
 
  • Sign into/ sign up for FACTS Management to select your payment schedule, by clicking here.

EMMAUS Applicants: Upon signing the enrollment agreement and setting up your FACTS Management account, please contact Diane Kuczmarski, Director of EMMAUS, to formally apply for the EMMAUS program. You can email her directly at dkuczmarski@stmarkshs.net.
 
  • Complete your Class of 2021 Registration Form
This form is for parents to complete through their MySMHS Portal. You will find "1 Form to Review" highlighted in yellow upon logging into your account.

              Parent Information Form             

              Transportation Form

              Language and Elective Form

              Release of Records Form

              Registration for “Kickoff to Summer” – Required for both parents and students 
             
              Registration for ONE “Get Connected” session. Your student may register for both, depending upon availability.
             
              Registration for the “New Parent Welcome” – Required for Class of 2021 parents

              Registration for ONE “Tech Boot Camp”

*You must have purchased your iPad in order to attend the Tech Boot Camp. Specifications for the iPad can be found below;
 
We require an iPad Air or better, WiFi and a minimum requirement of 32GB of capacity with iOS 9 or better. A minimum 32GB of capacity is necessary to handle all the apps, notes, and e-textbooks that students will be using. An iPad mini is NOT acceptable. A 3G/4G cellular data plan is NOT needed for school use. We recommend a STURDY protective case or cover for the iPad.

  • Take the Math Placement Exam
On May 2, 2017 at 3:15 p.m., the Algebra Test will be given at Saint Mark’s High School to incoming freshmen who wish to qualify for a course beyond Algebra I in Grade 9.  It is a comprehensive algebra test containing 50 free-response questions. This is not required for all students, only for those wishing to take a freshman math course beyaond Algebra I. For more information, please download the form on the right hand side of this webpage under the "Admissions Downloads" section. 
 
  • Take the Spanish Placement Exam - Offered online May 8th through May 15th, 2017 
The Spanish placement test is administered online, to see if a student successfully meets the requirements for the first year of Spanish and could be placed in their second year as a freshman. Students are not required to take this exam. It is only for students hoping to take Spanish II their freshman year. For more information, please download the form on the right hand side of this webpage under the "Admissions Downloads" section. 

  • Purchase uniforms at RUSH Uniform, 101 Harrison Ave, New Castle, DE 19720
          Please find a coupon for RUSH Uniform in the admissions downloads section to the right.

          For Physical Education, students are allowed to wear appropriate shorts or athletic pants and a Saint Mark's t-shirt or sweatshirt. You may purchase Saint Mark's apparel in our Bookstore. 

  • Get a Physical (Link available June 17th!)
  1. Log into MySMHS and navigate to the New Families Summer Tile 
  2. Click the Magnus Health Form link
  3. Download physical forms from Magnus Health to bring to your doctor 
  4. Have your doctor complete the forms
  5. Upload the forms to Magnus Health 
*Magnus Health forms must be uploaded. The school will not accept the forms in any other capacity.

  • Complete your summer assignments (Coming in Early June!)
          Be sure to log onto MySMHS and navigate to the New Families Summer Tile to get your summer assignments.

    Admitted Students Night

    Students and parents are invited to learn more about a Saint Mark's education. Students and parents will attend different breakout sessions to gain a new perspective on being a Spartan. See the Admissions Downloads section for the Admitted Student Night Agenda.

    Admissions Decision Deadline

    Refer to your MySMHS Portal to sign the Enrollment Agreement and submit your deposit for the class of 2021. You will find it highlighted in yellow upon logging into your account.

    To sign the enrollment agreement, please follow these steps;
    1. Go to our web page at www.stmarkshs.net.
    2. Click “MySMHS” in the top right corner.
    3. Use the login information you used to create your child’s application, in order to sign in.
    4. Upon first logging in, you will see “Contract Pending” highlighted in yellow.
    5. Click “Contract Pending” to view the enrollment agreement. 
    6. The enrollment agreement details the tuition costs and fees. It will not reflect any scholarship, grant or financial aid awards. Upon signing the enrollment agreement, you will be required to make a $1,000 deposit.
    After completing the enrollment agreement, you will then need to set up a tuition payment schedule. There are several options available. Please either use your current FACTS Management account or create an account by clicking here

    Phasing Conference

    If you would like to discuss your child's academic phase, our Department Chairs and Assistant Principal of Academics and Misison, willl be available to speak with your family, about your concerns. Conferences will take place from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. and will operate on a first come, first serve basis.

    Easter Break - School Closed

    Please note, Saint Mark's will be closed for the Easter holiday and the business offices will be operating on a modified schedule.

    This fun filled day offers students the opportunity to "Get connected" with our faculty, staff, campus and their classmates!

    New students are required to attend ONE "Get Connected" event. 
    Depending upon avialability, they may register for the Get Connected: Session II, Academics & Service.

    New Parent Welcome

    The "New Parent Welcome" is required for all new parents of Saint Mark's. This informative evening provides parents with pertinent information to begin the school year. This is a parent only event.

    All new students should report to school on September 5th for orientation. We look forward to seeing you there!
