Who Takes the High School Placement Test?
Current 8th-grade students should register for the High School Placement Test (HSPT) through Scholastic Testing Services (STS). It is a required part of the Saint Mark's High School admissions process.
The December 1st and 2nd exam have passed; however, we offer a monthly alternate testing date. Please see the available dates under "Registering for the HSPT."
Registering for the HSPT
Please email Director of Admissions, Alissa McGrisken to register for an alternate testing date at email@example.com. Our alternate dates are listed below. Space is limited on each of these dates.
January 24th at 2:30 p.m.
February 27th at 2:30 p.m.
March 28th at 2:30 p.m.
April 30th at 2:30 p.m.
May 16th at 2:30 p.m.
Cost of the HSPT
The fee for the test is $65. You may pay in cash or a check made payable to Saint Mark's High School.
On the Day of the Test
Please arrive at 2:30 p.m. at our main office lobby. You are welcome to park in the visitor spaces right in front of the school.
Please bring the following items to the test;
1. A snack and beverage for breaks. Please avoid peanut or tree nut snacks and glass bottles.
2. Two #2 pencils
3. If you have not yet paid the registration fee, please bring cash or a check made payable to Saint Mark's High School, in the amount of $65.
*Calculators are not permitted.
Expected dismissal will be at approximately 5:15 p.m.

After registering for the HSPT, students should complete a Saint Mark's online application by clicking here,
if they have not already done so.
After the HSPT
We will send a Recommendation Form to your child's current school, along with a request for school records (three years of transcripts and standardized test scores). It is not required for you to submit separate recommendation forms.
