A Note from the Director of Advancement and Alumni

Dear Spartan,

As I enter my third year at Saint Mark’s I remain excited and enthusiastic about our past and very optimistic about our future. I am honored to continue in my role as Director of Advancement and Alumni.

The history of Saint Mark’s is rich in tradition. Founded in 1969, we have stayed true to our mission “to inspire young men and young women to create a better world, one more pleasing to God and more helpful to others”. As the flagship high school of the Catholic Diocese of Wilmington, we provide a rigorous, college preparatory curriculum that exemplifies excellence in education to students of all ability levels.

The Saint Mark’s family is a community of students, faculty, staff, parents, graduates, and friends who are united behind our shared belief in working together to provide an environment that exemplifies excellence in education and encourages our students to achieve their best in mind, body, and spirit.

The strength of Saint Mark’s lies with our alumni. The Alumni Association had a great year and was able to connect with alumni from all over the world. Their dedication has led to increased awareness and several new events and activities to connect Saint Mark’s graduates.

This past year we also introduced a new program to connect alumni and provide a current view of the Saint Mark’s community. The program provides small group tours involving, students, faculty and staff. I am happy to say that over 250 people were involved in the program this past year and I invite you to join us.

We welcome your visit to our site and hope that you will stop back frequently to learn more about the many options available to support Saint Mark’s. You will find a number of opportunities to provide our students with the most innovative educational and co-curricular programming possible to assure our students are prepared for their future.

Our goal in the Office of Advancement and Alumni is to secure the resources needed to provide the environment for students and families who are part of, or who wish to be part of, the Saint Mark’s family.
