Saint Mark's Performs "Bye Bye, Birdie" April 22-24
Seniors, Emma Johnson and Kyle Johnson, are playing the characters of Rose Alvarez and Albert Peterson; the role of the “Elvis” character, Conrad Birdie, is being shared by Seniors, Cameron Dixon and Eric Sawka. Kim McAfee, the lucky girl who is to be kissed by Conrad Birdie, will be portrayed by Senior, Katya Monarski. Her parents will be played by Junior, Mollie Marine, and Senior, Robert Dorsett. Senior, Madison Breske will portray Mae Peterson, Albert’s long-suffering Mama.
The show, co-directed by David W. Patch and Pauline C. DeAscanis, was the first Broadway musical ever presented at Saint Mark’s High School during the Spring of 1970.
