Dear Friends of Saint Mark’s,

Welcome to the web site for Saint Mark’s High School! Whether you are new to our school or a long-time member of our school community, I hope you will find this web site exciting and informative.

Why Saint Mark’s? That’s the right question to ask – and we have plenty of answers. Are you looking for a strong academic program? You’ve come to the right place. Our college preparatory curriculum has long been a hallmark of the school. We’ve prepared numerous students to attend – and succeed in – some of the finest colleges and universities in the country. Our Advanced Placement program is expansive and successful and our honors curriculum offers challenges to the best of students.

Are activities important to you? Our program of co-curricular activities is extensive with plenty of opportunities for all types of students to be involved. From a full gamut of competitive sports to Student Council to a wide variety of clubs that capture the interests and imaginations of a broad section of the student body, there are activities that will interest every Saint Mark’s student. From early morning until evening, there are students and teachers on campus engaged in an assortment of events and interests.

What is the foundation of our school? Without question, it is our Catholic faith. Our students develop a sense of self and concern for others that is rooted in the message of the gospel and the traditions of the Church. The students at Saint Mark’s make the journey of intellectual, social, and spiritual development with a strongly defined moral compass, preparing them to take their rightful place as leaders in their professions and communities.

It has been said – and it is true – that Catholic schools educate the whole student. A rigorous academic program is but one part of a school of excellence. The same is true of a school’s program of student activities. What pulls it all together and gives it meaning is that our students are immersed in a school culture that reflects the values that lead them to be God-centered, educated, caring, and responsible young men and women.

As outlined in our Mission Statement, we believe that our graduates can “create a better world, one more pleasing to God and more helpful to others by modelling faith, excellence, humility, and integrity.” At Saint Mark’s we believe, and our graduates demonstrate, that all things are possible!

Sincerely in Christ,
Richard A. Bayhan
